The Car Wash

For those of you who really know our 2nd Grandson Drew, you know how much he loves going threw a car wash! I remember when me and my Mom (GG) would drive over to see my Dad in the nursing home, Drew was about 2 and saw this building and said Car Wash! It was an old abandoned car wash and GG said how did he know that was a car wash?
Ever since Drew was born I have usually watched him on Thursday's. That used to be a special day for me and Jen. I would usually go and meet her for lunch on that day and Brad &
Dennis always called it Moma Meet Day!
Ever since Drew could talk he would always point out car washes. The first thing he usually says after I pick him up on Thursdays after he says I knew you would come pick me up yaya, was can we get a car wash today! Usually it was a yes. I loved looking at his little face as we would approach the car wash. Such excitememt on his little face.
That all changed today! I went with Jen and the boys out today (Friday) to lunch and to do a little shopping! He asked his Mom if he could do a car wash today. I looked at her and she said new thing! He loves to give me a car wash. He said I would get mine first before I went home.
We pulled in the spot where he loves to do it and told his mom I needed to park there. She said she needed to unload the car first. Well I decided to pull up in front of her in the yard. He told me to stay in the car. I did and he got the hose and started going up and down with it. It sounded just like the car wash. I got so tickled at his little face watching him out the window. He still had the same excitement! It was the sweetest thing ever. About that time I get a call from Jen. She is standing at the kitchen window watching all of this and we both just start laughing.
He came to the window and told me step by step what was going on. Like I always do in the big car wash! What a special moment that was as I sat there and watched his little face. When he was done I had already pulled a couple of dollars out and handed it to him as he told me I was finished and to have a good day. Be sure to let it dry good, he said! These are the moments when life is soooooo Gooood!!!! I love you Drewsie!
